下面就是给苏秦的信, any comments are welcome:
yesterday was a different day. hehe~a lot of things that should not happen happened yesterday.
you know i have to pass a magnetic gate when going out of the railway station. but the gate was different yesterday. i put my ticket in and maybe there were too many students passing the gate, the gate was confused and it didn't open for me. but i never thought of such things so i made a solid collision while the gate was closed and i was rushing forward as usual. i was astonished and cried out. and what's the worse, the officer was sitting there checking tickets!! i had never met such sort of things: i had a valid ticket, but i was badly bumped by the gate and i was the one they chose to check the ticket!!! i had thought that they will never check my ticket while there is a magnetic gate! fortunately i bought a valid ticket.
and the same unpleasant thing happened when i was walking out of the fisher library of my uni. the magnetic gate was screaming when a boy and i was trying to get out. both of us was called back. i thought it was the boy but unfortunately it wasn't. but i didn't take anything from the library!!!i took everything out of my bag and through the gate. the result was the microeconomics book i bought from community library. maybe the magnetic gate was too allergic.
when i went out of the library i was thinking if the day was an unfortunate day. everything seemed to have gone wrong with me. and i went to the computer access center of the education building and then, you know, i was excited by the discoverance that i could use a computer to access internet without any account or limit. let off the damn uni account. i decide to spend all the spare time of the day in this center on the days i have classes . it's a pity that i can't come here on the days when i don't have any classes because the time and the cost for traffic is considerable.
and i also discovered yesterday that in the microeconomics class my level is above the average, at least higher than a considerable proportion of the chinese students. and i know i have spend much more time on studying than them. after my hardworking of the two days studying the 25 questions of the mid term exam of last year, i have grasped a lot and have sufficient confidence to discuss the problems with the classmates. the lecture gave an assignment on blackboard(you know, the one in the www, it's really a great place for both the teachers and the students. yesterday a student in internet commerce class suggested the lecturer to place his slides in it. the lecturer of internet commerce has just transferred from uws so he doesn't even know there is a "blackboard" ) and he didn't announce the assignment as usual. so i didn't know anything about the assignment until 10 minutes before the class. fortunately my classmate had a printed copy of it(hehe, i have saved another 3 pages quota for printing). during the first half of the lecture, the teacher was talking about the solutions of the assignment. i couldn't follow him because i didn't know anything about the problems nor had i tried to solve the questions. i decided to do it when the lecturer was speaking. at least i could follow some of the solutions by doing that. and you know what, when the lecturer was talking about the second problem i was finishing the 9th, the last one, and it was my classmate who couldn't follow the solutions! it's funny. i don't know what they do every day. if they can spend 2 days of the week on reading microeconomics there will be no problem because the standard the lecturer requires is so easy to meet. i really wonder what they come here for if not for studying. and during the break i talked to some of my fellow students. one of them said he doesn't have a text book. it's not an excuse because i don't have a textbook either. and one can borrow any book whose name includes "microeconomics" to do this class because all the books include the same theories. there's no obvious difference. and if he doesn't read any books i wonder how he can grasp the fragmentary lectures the confusing Indian lecturer has delivered to us. another student who has no background said she had just finished the first chapter. i was astonished. i would never worry about the exam while i have such classmates around me.
