1st Speaking Lecture（Date: 2005.5.15 A.M）
Ⅰ、评分标准精解
一、 Fluency
1、keep going 2-4句话，表现出willing to/prepared to speak，可通过以下途径来实现：⑴expansion strategy：回答一般疑问句后，加上what,which,who,when,how等问题的答案，形成1-2个附加信息。
⑵ add details: when,what,how,who…
give reasons: why/evidence…
express a contrast: but, trouble…
link to other information: internet→music, download转向其他自己熟悉的话题上。
2、join ideas together
1、variety：不要总是重复使用同一个单词表示相同的意思。
e.g.: interesting→fascinating, funny, fantastic, terrific, fabulous…
2、collocation搭配
二、 Vocabulary
e.g.:表示“发展，进步”等意思时，一些更地道些的搭配：
personal growth, social progress, intellectual development, technological advance…
3、accuracy（平时积累）
三、 Grammar
录音，check，记好上课时补充的句型，练习时注意多使用最高级、比较级以及从句等来展现语法。
四、 Pronunciation
主要是重音的掌握。

一、 Education话题
1、最常见问题
⑴ Are you a student or do you work?
先回答问题：Well, I work. I’m an electronics engineer in Dalian NEC company. And I’ve worked for almost 1 years now.
⑵ What’s your major when you’re in college?
句型：I graduated from Dalian University of Technology, Liaoning Province.
My major is Electronics and Electricity Engineering. /I major in…
I was awarded/I got my Bachelor’s Degree in 2004.
⑶ Why did you choose your major?
It’s my parents’ decision rather then my decision. And I just followed their advise. I think they just chose a major for me to find a job easier after graduation.
⑷ How do you like…类问题的回答
首先回答喜不喜欢，后面再加上理由。
⑸ What do you like the most about your job?
类似what you like the most的题目多使用最高级，the best part about my job is that…/the worst part of my job is…+表语从句；one of the good/bad things about my job is that…
⑹ training/study/job (How do you feel like…?)
e.g.: problem-solving skills
academic and social skills
get along with others/other people
friendship(which may last life long)
GZ角度分析：
1）Extracurricular activities:
academic subject, society/organization/association…
句型：fully explore my talents, explore all my possibilities, develop my characters/individuality…
2）Teaching methods:
teacher-centered, exam-oriented, test-oriented…should be transformed to student-centered;
qualities of good teachers(Part3): patient, professional, enlightening, learned, responsible, have a sense of + n. (e.g.: a sense of responsibility/humor), loving and caring(关爱), dedicated, leadership qualities…
句型：a) I think /believe / feel teaching is a profession for + adj. + people / people with + n.
b) n. is an essential/necessary quality for being a teacher.
c) one requirement for being a teacher is being adj.
3）Courses:
It’s difficult to / I find it hard to apply what I learned from college to real life/reality/practical/professional training…

I will immigrate to Canada after the test for advanced education…
